APCA, CIE and AT&T Developer's Program Host Hackathon for Students

Hackathon for Students

Exposing High School Kids to Mobile App Creation

APCA, CIE-Seattle (Chinese Institute of Engineers – Seattle) and AT&T Developer's Program hosted the first Mobile App Hackathon for High School Students. This event was produced by the AT&T Developer Program and designed especially for students in high school (grades 9-12 or beyond high school) to learn the basics about making mobile applications across a variety of mobile smartphones. The Hackathon introduced students to the latest cutting edge tools to help deploy an app with a website backend, fully hosted in the cloud. There was live developer support from local senior developers from AT&T, Sencha, and Apigee to help students of all levels. Students interacted with professional mobile app developers and learned about careers in the mobile app industry.

Special thanks go to Gina Li, Quyen Quach, Alex Donn, Brandon Duong, Vanessa Giannini and Lai Lau for supporting the event!
